What are the ingredients?

1. 1 Kg Chicken cut into small pieces
2. 4 table spoons coconut oil
3. 3 medium onions chopped
4. Cloves, garlic minced
5. Salt to taste
6. 3 potatoes chopped
7. 2 teaspoon coriander powder
8. Coconut milk half cup
9. Crushed 4 small pieces cinnamon
10.  Crushed 3 pods cardamom
11.  3 stem curry leaves

 

How to prepare?

Cook the cut pieces of chicken with potatoes, salt and a little water in pressure cooker. Heat oil in a pan; Sauté onions, green chillies, garlic and ginger in this order. Add crushed cinnamon sticks, cloves and cardamom and sauté, till onions turn brown. Sauté, till the fresh smell of curry leaves. Add the above mixture to the cooked chicken. Close the lid of the cooker and bring everything to a boil. Add Coconut milk to the cooked chicken on a slow flame.   Add curry leaves. Allow the contents to boil and stir it often. Turn off the flame immediately after it boils. Add salt as required for taste. Garnish with green salad and serve it hot with Palappam.
